COVID Certification Service – Web Application Accessibility Notice

COVID certificates

The HSC COVID Certification service is now closed to new applications. The app will be removed from the app stores.

Active certificates, and the COVIDCert NI app will cease to work from the 12th of January 2024. COVID certificates are no longer required domestically or for international travel.

If you are travelling abroad you should review travel entry requirements for the countries you will visit or travel through.

Web Application Accessibility Notice

We’re continuously working to make the COVID Certificate Service (CCS) web application as accessible and usable as possible for all abilities and disabilities. This includes older people and those with visual, hearing, cognitive or motor impairments.

We try to make the application easy to use and work well with assistive technologies by using:

• easier-to-read colours
• larger fonts
• plain English
• keyboard-only navigation

• Page time limitation issue. This is a failure of WCAG 2.0, Level A, 2.2.1.

Some document formats on the CCS web application such as PDF, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel may not be fully accessible. Where possible we make documents accessible and/or provide a suitable HTML alternative.

Some of our PDF and Microsoft Word documents are essential to providing our services.

Any new PDF or Microsoft Word documents we publish will meet accessibility standards.
